College Students Makes Bomb Threats via Emai

On Behalf of Law Office of Kerrisa Chelkowski | Nov 23, 2012 | Firm News

Two kids from Texas are suspected of being the masterminds behind a rash of bomb threats to colleges in Texas. Perhaps a modern “Bonnie and Clyde” situation, Dereon Jayronne Kelly and his girlfriend or ex,Brittany Henderson terrorized the campus’ of Texas A&M as well as Texas State University. Over the course of the last month, the two have sent emails that led to the evacuation of many buildings on both campuses.

Kelly is a current student at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. The emails were traced to his dorm room on that campus. Emails were sent from the third floor of the Providence Dorm, which stated the following: “I will blow texas state up to small pieces starting with the admissions office today at three central time,” said the initial threat, which was sent at 7:20 a.m. to a University employee who works at home.

This wouldn’t be the last email sent to this woman either. For the next 24 hours, other emails sent said the following: “I will not be arrested because they have no proof I did anything because I never brought the bomb on campus but I will tomorrow and they will not be able to find me because im at my house I hate texas state for life the police better not come back here to my house either my family will not tell them where I am at or whose desktop im on.”

These emails were sent with Henderson’s email account. Henderson was a student at Texas State University before she withdrew earlier this year from the nursing program. She has claimed that she is innocent of the crimes. Both students are facing up the ten years in jail for making a terrorist threat. If you or a loved one have been accused of threatening or committing violence, then you need the assistance of a capable attorney. Contact an experienced criminal defense lawyer in San Antonio today.
