Teen Accused of Stabbing Elderly Woman to Death

On Behalf of Law Office of Kerrisa Chelkowski | Sep 25, 2012 | Firm News

A 16-year-old teenager has been charged with the murder of a 63-year-old woman with whom he was living with. The accused, Isaac Rodriguez, appeared confused and sat quietly when the judge read the charges on Thursday, September 13th. Rodriguez merely said, “What are you talking about?” and denied the murder allegations. The judge ordered Rodriguez held for 10 days in a juvenile detention center on one count of murder.

The victim, Adriana Carillo Terry, was found dead in the bathroom of a home in the 13500 block of Coleridge Street. A woman living with Terry and Rodriguez called police after she had returned home and found blood coming from the bathroom. According to a police report, the door of the bathroom had been broken and Terry was lying on the floor. She had been stabbed multiple times in the abdomen and also had a severe head injury.

While police were investigating the crime scene, Rodriguez approached one of the officers. He spoke with the officer briefly, after which he was detained. His behavior had been very odd during the conversation. For example, Rodriguez had said he did it because he loved his father and would do anything his father told him to do. In a statement made later in the day, Rodriguez confessed to killing Terry. He might also have been on drugs when the killing took place – this is still under investigation.

The penalties for violent crimes can be very severe. If you have been charged with a violent crime such as homicide, it’s important to have the best possible defense available. Contact a highly qualified criminal defense lawyer in San Antonio as soon as possible.
